ABOUT

Hi, I'm Indy, a documentary wedding photographer based in Redhill, Surrey.

My love for photography started when I travelled around the UK in my 1970 custom VW beetle, taking photos at the classic car show events. Then a few years ago, a friend of mine who wanted to renew her vow asked me if I minded taking pictures of the day as she was not happy with her standard posed photos from the wedding day. So I did this and then a few more weddings for families and friends. They all wanted that natural look and didn't want a wedding photographer who posed them like the old, traditional wedding photos that we remember from the 1980s.

I really enjoyed capturing the wedding day for families and friends. This got me thinking about wedding photography. I wanted to be part of a couple's special day, which was fun and full of life – not like a posed photo of a custom car!

I enjoy capturing the day as naturally as possible, to the point that everyone forgot I was even there. It took me a while to adjust to the style of in the moment photography – but when I did, the difference was notable!

The couple should be enjoying the big day that they had spent so long planning whilst we capture all of the special moments in the whirlwind of the event. Everyone should be looking at the newly married couple and not at a camera. My style is relaxed; I capture all the funny and fleeting moments, the memories that mean the most, and let you get on with enjoying your day.

I'm there to capture the day for you as it magically unfolds for you to look back on.

If it sounds like I'm the photographer for you, and you would like to chat about how I can make the memories of your wedding something to treasure forever, please get in touch. We can plan together how to best capture the magic of your day.

I'd love to have a chat with you.
